  welcome

The Silicon Valley Grey Thumb Chapter is an informal group that meets to share projects, listen to presentations, and meet others with similar interests. We are open to all regardless of background or level of interest, and our meetings are routinely attended by everyone from academic scientists to artists and casual hobbyists. The Silicon Valley Grey Thumb Chapter, usually, meets on the last Tuesday of the month at the SRI International in Menlo Park. The typical meeting format is meeting at Building-E Visitors' lobby and moving to one of our conference rooms at 7:00pm. The main meeting starts with the review of new publications. This is followed by a technical presentation and/or demonstration of one or more topics or applications from 7:15 to 9:00pm. The time between 9:00pm and 9:30pm is available for longer talks, extended Q&A and/or more informal networking before everyone heads home.

Our meetings will always be free and open to the general public. In order to find out early about upcoming events, we recommend you join our mailing list gt_sv@lists.ccon.org which will be used primarily to announce our events. When an advance RSVP is required, this information will be part of the group announcements.

In addition, we maintain a calendar with the planned event dates for the next year called out. As topics and presenters are finalized, this calendar is updated accordingly.

Disclaimer: The Silicon Valley Chapter of Grey Thumb is an independent group; our activities and the opinions expressed on this site should in no way be linked to SRI, NASA and any other institution or corporation.
